Kingfisher Plumbing will be operating as an essential service during the government's Alert Level 4 lockdown 4 week period. We fall under the Building and Construction category of essential services, however there are limits to what we can do.
The guidelines state this as "Building and construction related to essential services, critical infrastructure, or immediately needed to maintain human health and safety at home/work".
Examples of the type of work we can attend are:
  • The repair/replacement of hot water cylinders that have failed as the hot water will be required for sanitation purposes.
  • The unblocking and repair/replacement of sanitary waste pipes where there is an immediate threat to human health and safety.
  • The repair/replacement of water pipes where there is an immediate threat to human health and safety.
  • The repair/replacement of gas piping, fittings and appliance where there is an immediate threat to human health and safety.
We are also able to provide our services to businesses that are associated with fast moving consumer goods, food production or key public services and health and emergency services.

There is no precedent for such uncertain times and we are putting our men at risk in attending such call outs. However we will contain to charge standard rates for normal weekday hours, and call out rates for afterhours like normal.

We will be following strict and recommended health and hygiene guidelines during such call outs and would ask that you do the same and maintain a 2 metre distance from our tradesman. We will not be able to attend to jobs where the occupier of the house is in self isolation due to testing positive for COVID-19 or having been in close contact with someone who has.
